It's time to mark your calendar for the "2006 Taste of Habitat" on August 18 at the beautiful "Metropolitan Club". We are planning to have 100 chefs for your "tasting" pleasure. Last years event was a hoot; see photos in the "album" section.   "Tickets are now on sale."

What a success tonights fund raiser was. If you missed the "Taste of Habitat" tonight you missed the Lutheran social event of the year. Three hundred [plus] participants cooked wonderful food, ate wonderful food, enjoyed the company of each other, listened to music and danced together. All the proceeds will go to support the 2005 "Lutheran Coalition" build in Roswell.

Sixty seven "Chefs" will be on hand offering you a taste of their favorite recipes. Enjoy!

We expect a good croud as Sponsorships and individual ticket sales have been brisk. 

We have about 40 chefs on line for the "Taste of Habitat" event. Continue telling your friends about this fun event.

N. Fulton Habitat has run into development problems for the proposed site of this years Lutheran house. As a result, HFHNF has requested that we build in down town Roswell and begin at an earlier date. An e-mail poll of the "Coalition" members has agreed to this change. The requested start date is Aug 27th but Phil is negotiating September 10th since our "Taste of Habitat" fund raiser is planned for Aug 26th and the following weekend is the Labor Day holiday.

Arlene reports she has locked in Friday, Aug 26th for "A Taste of Habitat" which is one of our fund raising activities planned for this year. 

The site will be the "Metropolitan Club" from 7 until 9PM. The location is on Windward Parkway a mile and a half East of GA 400. This "event" will be worth the drive.

We will have 60 "Celebrity Chefs" from local churches preparing their finest. There will also be a cash bar and some local musical entertainment. 

Mark your calendars and invite your friends.

Charlene Yde has 300 Bruster Coupon Books for us to sell. The buyer pays $10 and gets $20 worth of Brusters ice cream on a "buy one get one free" basis. Who could say no to this promotion.   

We received our 1st revenue sharing check from zConnect in March. It was small but we're on our way. It's a good service that could allow many of you to save money on your internet services and benefit the "Coalition" at the same time. In may be a "Win, Win, Win" for you, the "Coalition" and zConnect.

The Lutheran Coalition participates in a revenue sharing program with zConnect, a Marietta-based Internet Service Provider.  Under the program, zConnect contributes 15% of revenue from customers who specify that the Lutheran Coalition should benefit from their account. 

To join, church members can simply browse the zConnect website at http://www.zconn.net and order services, or they can call zConnect at 770 590-0888 (or Toll Free 1-800-959-8896). For online signups, members can visit zConnect's Make It Count page after they sign up and specify that the Lutheran Coalition should benefit from their account.  Phone customers should tell the agent that they want their account to benefit the Coalition.

zConnect offers both business-class internet services (such as email, server co-location, web site hosting, site design, and site construction) and consumer-class services (like dial-up Internet access).
