Welcome from the members of the "Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity" in Marietta, Georgia.  We use this website as a convenient way to communicate with members of participating Lutheran congregations about schedules, needs for the current build, fundraising activities, future plans as well as sharing our activities with other interested persons. In addition, photos archive the history of the 18 homes built by the "Coalition" since it's inception in 1993. The first house was built in 1994. Members of Lutheran congregations in Cherokee County, Cobb County & Fulton County, Georgia have joined together to help provide simple decent housing for lower income families.

First Nail and construction will start on time tomorrow [Saturday March 8]. Wear layered clothing for comfort and varying temperatures. The only thing to shut us down would be lightening. See you there on time [early if you plan to eat at the site].

Next Saturday, March 8, construction begins.  Be on site by 07:45 A.M. so you are ready for the "First Nail" ceremony at 08:00.

"Lutheran Coalition for Habitat" members with promotional items they were selling at the annual "Faith LC" "Holiday Craft Shop". Continued fund raising by the "Coalition" assures a continuing stream of homes for deserving families.

The dedication date for the Villegas' Family has been set for 4 p.m., July 7, 2007.  The date can not come quick enough for Jennifer and Victor.  Jennifer is already packed and ready to move. 

Please join us for a reception following the dedication, take a tour of the finished home and wish all the Villegas' much love and happiness in their new home.
