Welcome from the members of the "Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity" in Marietta, Georgia.  We use this website as a convenient way to communicate with members of participating Lutheran congregations about schedules, needs for the current build, fundraising activities, future plans as well as sharing our activities with other interested persons. In addition, photos archive the history of the 18 homes built by the "Coalition" since it's inception in 1993. The first house was built in 1994. Members of Lutheran congregations in Cherokee County, Cobb County & Fulton County, Georgia have joined together to help provide simple decent housing for lower income families.

I received pictures yesterday taken by five of the construction team members on several different days of the construction. I have posted some of them. [These pictures have been re-formated to 4 1/2 x 6 at a resolution of 120 ppi so they can easily be downloaded and printed on your home computer.]

First Nail and construction will start on time tomorrow [Saturday March 8]. Wear layered clothing for comfort and varying temperatures. The only thing to shut us down would be lightening. See you there on time [early if you plan to eat at the site].

Next Saturday, March 8, construction begins.  Be on site by 07:45 A.M. so you are ready for the "First Nail" ceremony at 08:00.
